Nice to meet you! I'm Sheryl.

I grew up with a mother, grandmother, sisters, and cousins who all sewed. Grandma quilted but I learned to hand quilt in what would have been called a Quilting Bee from friends at church.

This brought me an important sense of community.

It is tradition in my maternal extended family that when getting married the couple receive a quilt. I have made many wedding quilts because of my love for this tradition and to encourage community.

From this tradition and efforts, I have learned that the milestones in life are best commemorated by a quilt. Such as birth, baptism, graduation, marriage, anniversary, memorial or any other milestone.
